Something you would like to know!!

Ok, i would like to let everyone know some powerful works of microbes in our daily routine.

Bio-Pharmaceutical – Production of secondary metabolites, insulin, vaccine, growth hormones
Human health, food industry – Pre and Probiotic, wines, cell wall protein, various beneficial enzymes
Industry – Ethanol, biogas, detergent, solvent, biodegradable plastic
Agriculture – fertilizer, composting, organic insecticide and repellant
And many more..:)

You see, almost everything are related to these tiny little guys!!


Something interesting that you would like to know:
1)      You can’t kill all of the microrganisms in your food, unless you boil your water at 126 celcius Centigrade (258.80 Fahrenheit), under some pressure (autoclaving) for 96 hours. As water under standard pressure conditions boils at 1000 Centigrade (2120 Fahrenheit), such persistent determination to kill all microorganisms will also destroy your food.
2)      Some can live to 1900 Centigrade (3240 Fahrenheit) below zero.
3)      If world governments sling holocaust bombs at each other, bacteria will still be alive and well.
4)      A bacterium, called Radiodurans, thrives inside operating nuclear reactors. These bacteria have the highest levels of Super Oxide Dismutase and Catalase and some other antioxidant enzymes than any others measured.

You see, the roles of microbes almost related to every prospect of our life. However, we just know some little part of the whole picture!
